The Tuusula Municipal Executive unanimously decided to appoint Riikka Åberg to the post and Miia Suurkuukka as the reserve candidate.
Riikka Åberg has held various management positions in environmental health at the City of Helsinki since 2004. She currently heads a food safety unit comprising 48 staff members.
The Central Uusimaa Environmental Centre is the joint environmental health and environmental protection authority for the cities of Järvenpää and Kerava, and the municipalities of Mäntsälä, Nurmijärvi and Tuusula. Tuusula acts as the lead municipality for the centre.
