The Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency provides an update on the Helsinki–Riihimäki railway project: One lane will be closed on Vähänummentie and Nuppulinnantie in Järvenpää at the points where the road crosses the railway line until the end of August
As part of the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency’s Helsinki–Riihimäki railway project, modification work related to the construction of additional tracks will be carried out on the Purola and Nuppulinna overpasses during the summer. During the works, only one lane will be open at the bridges crossing the railway line on Vähänummentie and Nuppulinnantie, and traffic will be controlled by traffic lights.

The microbiological quality of swimming waters in Central Uusimaa is good
On 4 June 2026, the Central Uusimaa Environment Centre took the first water quality samples of the summer from the beaches in Järvenpää, Mäntsälä, Nurmijärvi and Tuusula in accordance with the monitoring plan. The samples were tested for Escherichia coli and faecal enterococci. The microbiological quality of the swimming water met the quality requirements set for bathing water.
