A new outdoor sports facility at the sports centre
A new open-air, accessible local sports facility is due to be completed at the Tuusula Sports Centre later this year. The outdoor sports facility, which is being built in front of the Tekova Arena multi-purpose hall, will include a street basketball court, an outdoor gym and a sports track, amongst other things.
Public presentation of the planned data centre in Jokela on 5 August
Jokelan Vihreä Maa Oy is planning a data centre project in Jokela, Tuusula, along Vallunlenkki. A presentation of the project and the assessment report will be held on Wednesday 5 August 2026 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Jokela-talo.
The swimming pool has switched to its summer opening hours
Tuusula Swimming Pool will be open throughout the summer this year. Today, the pool switched to its summer opening hours. From 29 June to 2 August, the pool will be open daily from 11.00 to 18.00.
11 meetings, 22 votes – the council’s first year in figures
The council has now completed its first full year in office. In total, the council has met 11 times during its term of office, which began on 1 June 2025. Absenteeism from council meetings was quite low, as the attendance rate for full councillors during the past term was almost 94 per cent.
Tuuskoto’s market study has been completed – further negotiations will begin in the autumn
Tuusula Municipality has completed a market study on Tuuskoto. The municipality will begin further negotiations with interested parties in the autumn and will explore options for developing the building.
Municipal employment subsidy to support residents of Tuusula
Tuusula has started to pay a municipal allowance to support employment from the beginning of June. The allowance, which is paid monthly, is available to employers who take on a jobseeker from Tuusula. The municipal subsidy amounts to €800 per month for full-time employment and €500 per month for part-time employment. The employment relationship must meet the employment condition, and the subsidy is paid for a maximum of one year.
The Finnish Defence Forces will be conducting exercises in Tuusula on 24 June.
Training activities are taking place in the Seepsula area. The training will cause noise.
