Regional and municipal elections

Regional and municipal elections will be held simultaneously on Sunday, 13 April 2025. By voting, you can influence who will make decisions on important matters affecting everyone’s daily life for the next four years.

  • In regional elections, representatives are elected to regional councils, which are responsible for organising social and health services and rescue services in welfare areas.
  • In municipal elections, representatives are elected to municipal councils, which decide on municipal activities and finances.

You can vote in both elections at the same time. However, if you wish, you can also vote in different elections at different times or exercise your right to vote in only one of the elections.
