Services for immigrants

For questions regarding immigration and integration, you can get advice and support from the immigration coordinator and integration counsellors. We provide social guidance for immigration work in cooperation with the Central Uusimaa Welfare Region.

Tuusula is becoming more international and is an attractive municipality for foreign-language speakers. The largest groups of foreign residents are Estonians, Russians and Ukrainians. Most immigrants have come to Tuusula for work or marriage.

Open counselling

We offer open counselling to all immigrants in Hyrylä and Jokela. Among other things, we help with

  • in dealings with authorities (Kela, Migri and DVV)
  • filling in forms.

In addition, we consult other professionals on matters related to immigration.

Mondays from 12 noon to 4 p.m. and Wednesdays from 12 noon to 4 p.m.

Refugee counselling and integration

In Tuusula, Ukrainians receiving temporary protection constitute the largest group among refugees. In addition, we advise quota refugees and other refugees receiving international protection.

We assess the service needs and integration plans of immigrants who are not in the labour force. You can register as a job seeker with TE services.
