Using the library for children

Using the library is easy and hassle-free! You can easily obtain a library card from your local library.

When you want to borrow something from the library, you need a library card. It is a good idea to get your own library card when you are lea ing to read.  

The first library card is always free.

You will receive a library card when you fill in the form available at the library. Retu the completed form to the library with your parent. You will receive your library card immediately. 

Take good care of your card! The card is yours alone: do not let your friends borrow your library card. Notify the library immediately if your card is lost. If you move or change your telephone number, notify the library of your new details.

Borrowing

You can borrow items at the customer service desk or using the self-service machine. To use the self-service machine, you will need a PIN code (4 digits). You can obtain your PIN code from the library.

After borrowing, you will receive a due date receipt showing 

  • what you have borrowed 
  • the dates by which loans must be retu ed to the library.

You can also ask the library to send a reminder of the due date to your email address. 

Loan renewal

If you need an extension on your loans, you can renew them at the library or online library five times. If another customer has reserved the book, game or other material you have borrowed, you cannot renew the loan.
