To the guardian of a pupil at Rusutjärvi School

Guardians can create Wilma accounts for themselves when registering their child for the first grade. The other parent can request a key code from the school secretary to create an account.

If a pupil changes schools during their comprehensive school education, you will automatically receive the necessary key code from the school secretary when you enrol your child at the school.

The Rusutjärvi School Parents’ Association(switch to another service) is an association founded and maintained by parents for the pupils and parents of Rusutjärvi School. Its purpose is to serve as a forum for discussing matters of mutual interest to the school and parents and, within the limits of available resources, to support the school’s activities (e.g. excursions, break-time equipment).

In recent years, for example, the association has covered the costs of the entire school’s winter skiing/sledging trip and organised film nights and discos open to the school’s pupils on the school premises. The association raises funds through joint events organised a few times a school year, such as sales and coffee mo ings. At the same time, the aim is to combine fun and benefit. In principle, all parents of pupils at the school are potential members of the home-school association

. Membership does not entail any obligations, and the association does not charge a membership fee.
The association has a board, which is elected once a year at the autumn meeting. The board members are responsible for the association’s activities and related matters.
For the 2025–2026 school year, the chair of the Parents’ Club board is Jonna Granroth.

The municipality of Tuusula has criteria for granting school transport.

School transport is granted by the school principal and can be applied for using the Wilma form.

Caregivers and school taxis pick up pupils from designated spots in the school car park.

Guardians can apply for permission for a pupil’s temporary absence from the class teacher or head teacher in Wilma under ‘Applications and decisions’.

Any absence from school lasting more than three days must be requested from the head teacher.

Sudden absences due to illness must be reported in accordance with the teacher’s instructions.
