In the exhibition Beyond Reality, the artworks of Rudolf Koivu, Martta Wendelin and Venny Soldan-Brofeldt are filled with trolls, gnomes, elves, mermaids, princesses, princes, witches, toads and all kinds of brave fairy tale heroes. Storytelling sessions for children and the young at heart are held in Finnish at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. and in English at 1 p.m. The sessions last about half an hour. The magic wand workshop and paper theatre are open all day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission to Erkkola is free for everyone aged 0–18. The admission fee for adults is €8 and €6 for pensioners and students. Admission is free with a Museum Card or Kaikukortti card.
