The danger has now passed. The unmanned aircraft no longer poses a threat and the situation is over, according to the Ministry of the Interior’s emergency services.
Children’s Museum Festival at the Tuusulanjärvi Museums on 22 August
This traditional event day is packed with cheerful atmosphere and fun activities for families with children at the museums around Lake Tuusulanjärvi on Saturday 22 August. Taking part are Ahola, Ainola, Halosenniemi, the Lotta Museum, Erkkola and Aleksis Kivi’s final home. Tuusula’s own mobile library, Kirre, will arrive at the Halosenniemi car park as usual. On the day of the event, admission to all the museums is free for children and the adults accompanying them. The museums are open from 10.00 to 17.00.

In Tuusula, the new school year begins on Thursday 13 August 2026 at primary and secondary schools. The Tuusula School of Visual Arts and the Adult Education Centre will also start their term during August.

The new lakeside path around Lake Tuusulanjärvi is now open along its entire length
Part of the Satakielenraitti path, built at the southern end of Lake Tuusulanjärvi, has been closed in recent months to ensure undisturbed nesting for birds. From the start of August, the trail will be open along its entire length. The official opening ceremony will take place on 19 August.
