Development is the common thread running through this autumn’s forum. The programme focuses on concrete development measures for promoting equality, organisational friendliness and child-friendliness. At the organisation forum, we will also identify ways in which the municipality can support the important work of organisations.

“After morning coffee, we will hear practical tips on equality and creating safer spaces that are suitable for association activities,” says Piia Helasto, coordinator of volunteer and organisational activities. I am delighted to announce that columnist and doctoral researcher Susi Nousiainen will be introducing the topic.

“In the afternoon, we will be working on Tuusula’s organisation plan and its measures. We will gather views and suggestions on the measures needed to become Finland’s most organisation-friendly municipality, says Community Manager Katja Repo about the day’s goals and planning work. You can also influence the organisation plan by responding to a survey, Repo adds.

Tuusula is a candidate for UNICEF’s Child-Friendly Municipality status. One section of the organisation forum will focus on presenting Tuusula’s child-friendly municipality work and brainstorming ideas on how organisations can promote children’s rights and Tuusula’s goals.

At the end of the forum, there will be an opportunity to visit the premises of Rykmentinpuisto School.

The municipality’s various facilities are widely used by residents and associations. At the end of the organisation forum, participants will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the new facilities available for booking at Rykmentinpuisto School. In addition to the piazza, meeting

rooms and sports hall, the shared facilities also include rooms for home economics, crafts, art and music. The first floor also has shared daycare facilities, and the second floor has classrooms of various sizes that are also suitable for meetings and training events.

The shared facilities will be open for viewing from 3 to 4 p.m.
