The Central Uusimaa Environmental Centre is seeking a new director to oversee the centre’s operations and its development across the region comprising five municipalities.

The role requires an understanding of the factors underpinning the vitality of local authorities, as well as experience in municipal environmental protection, environmental health and local government administration. Eligibility requirements include a relevant higher education degree, at least five years’ experience in managing an expert organisation, as well as excellent proficiency in Finnish, good proficiency in English and satisfactory proficiency in Swedish.
Applications are open from 2 to 23 April 2026. Interviews will be held in Tuusula on 6 and 7 May 2026, and aptitude assessments will take place from 11 to 13 May 2026. Further interviews will be held on 20 May 2026. The Municipal Executive Board will consider the selection on 25 May 2026.
