Summer picnics in the park are being organised once again

In the summer of 2026, Tuusula will be organising free meals in parks for children and young people under the age of 18 living in Tuusula, at all municipal centres. The meals will begin on Monday 1 June. There will also be a programme of fun activities.

Outdoor meals will be served in Etelä-Tuusula, Jokela and Kellokoski from 2 June to 31 July 2026 on weekdays between 11.30am and 12 noon, or until the food runs out. Food is provided daily for 80 diners at each dining location.

Please bring your own cutlery (fork, knife, spoon) and a container suitable for the day’s meal, as well as a drink of your choice, for example in a water bottle.

There will also be a supporting programme to accompany the outdoor dining sessions.

The library bike will be visiting the park picnics in South Tuusula. The library bike will be at Tuusulanjärvi School on 9 June and 23 June, and at Kotkanpuisto on 16 June from 11:00 to 12:30. The programme includes the distribution of books from the library’s clearance sale and some light activities.
