Assistive devices for mobility and daily activities available for loan

Assistive device service points lend out aids for mobility and daily activities, such as rollators, wheelchairs, crutches, toilet seat raisers and shower chairs. Residents in the Keusote area can visit any Keusote assistive device service point without a referral or an appointment.

At least one Keusote assistive technology service point is open every weekday. You do not need a referral or an appointment to visit the service point. You can visit during opening hours, and customers are served on a first-come, first-served basis.

There is always a physiotherapist at the assistive technology service point who assesses the need for an assistive device and helps you choose the right one. The aim is to find each assistive device user a device tailored to their individual needs, which promotes rehabilitation, supports their ability to carry out everyday activities or prevents a decline in their functional ability. Assistive devices are provided free of charge to clients.

Assistive device service points do not provide medical supplies, such as sleep apnoea equipment, nappies or diabetes management equipment. Medical supplies must be ordered from the medical supplies distribution service.

Assistive devices are loaned to clients and must be returned once the loan period has expired. A charge may be made for lost or unreturned assistive devices. Assistive devices can be returned to any of Keusote’s three assistive device service points during the opening hours of the social and health centres.

Advice and guidance on assistive devices is available not only at the service point but also by telephone and via the OmaKeusote app.

Our telephone helpline is available on 019 226 0202. You can request a call-back at any time, and a Keusoten representative will call you back as soon as possible.
