The newspaper room is open every day from Monday to Friday at 8 a.m.

The return box at Tuusula Main Library is out of service until further notice.

Due to construction work next to the main library, there is no longer any customer parking in front of the main library. Only those parking in disabled parking spaces may drive in front of the main library. The nearest open parking spaces are located on Hyökkäläntie and Klaavolantie.

Self-service hours

During self-service hours, you can:

• read books and magazines
• loan your reservation from the self-service shelf
• borrow and return books
• use computers
• print and make copies (cash payment only). 

Customer service opens at 10 a.m., when all library services become available. 

Library facilities 

Street level: Sections for children and adults, newspaper room, exhibition spaces, group work area, and computers, printer, scanner and laminator for customer use. The newspaper room has a mobile phone charging point and a coffee machine. The children’s playroom Epeli and workshop space can be reserved from customer service.

Second floor: Glass-roofed reading room, art, music and sports books, sheet music and CDs, Laura and Einari meeting rooms, and Tuusula Point.

Basement: Open storage area with materials available for loan and a reference library; local history collection in the closed section of the storage area.

Accessibility 

Parking spaces for people with reduced mobility are located in the main library courtyard and offer unobstructed access to the main entrance, but the route may be uneven. 

The main entrance to the main library is accessible. 

The accessible toilet is located opposite the customer service desk. 

The second floor and basement are accessible by lift.  

Assistance dogs and reading dogs are welcome in the library. Pets are not allowed in the library. 

The induction loop is in use in customer service and can be activated in the Einari meeting room.

The reading room is only open during library opening hours.

The reading room is occasionally reserved for the library’s own use.  

TuusInfo is available once a week at Jokela Library. The service is available for HSL matters, room reservations and information about Tuusula.

Library facilities 

Jokela Library is located in the cosy Jokela House, which also houses youth facilities, the adult education centre office and the Helmi craft school.

The library has sections for children and adults, a newspaper room, a reading room, exhibition spaces, and computers, a printer and a scanner for customer use. You can use the 3D-printer and sewing machine by booking a time slot from customer service.

Accessibility 

The library is almost completely accessible, as there are no stairs in the Jokela building. The inner door of the Jokela library is a fire door and therefore has a small threshold. 

An accessible toilet is located in the lobby of the Jokela building. Keys are available from the Jokela library. 

Assistance dogs and reading dogs are welcome. 

An induction loop is in use at the customer service desk and in the Jokela Hall. 

Parking spaces for people with reduced mobility are located near the main entrance of the Jokela building.

TuusInfo is available once a week at the Kellokoski Library. The service is available for HSL matters, room reservations and obtaining information about Tuusula.

Kellokoski Library is located close to schools, in the same building as Kellokoski Social and Health Centre and Kellokoski Youth Centre Nuorkka.

The library has sections for children and adults, exhibition spaces, and computers, a printer, a scanner and a laminating machine for customer use. You can use the 3D printer by booking a time slot from customer service.

Accessibility 

The main entrance to Kellokoski Library is accessible, and the entire library is accessible.  

The library also has an accessible toilet. Due to vandalism, the toilet is currently out of use during self-service hours.

Assistance dogs and reading dogs are welcome in the library. Pets are not allowed in the library.
