On Sunday, May 10th, Jokela Library is closed.

Due to construction work next to the main library, there is no longer any customer parking in front of the main library. Only those parking in disabled parking spaces may drive in front of the main library. The nearest open parking spaces are located on Hyökkäläntie and Klaavolantie.

Self-service hours

During self-service hours, you can:

  • read books and magazines
  • loan your reservation from the self-service shelf
  • borrow and return books
  • use computers
  • print and make copies (cash payment only). 

Customer service opens at 10 a.m., when all library services become available. 

Library facilities 

Street level: Sections for children and adults, newspaper room, exhibition spaces, group work area, and computers, printer, scanner and laminator for customer use. The newspaper room has a mobile phone charging point and a coffee machine. The children’s playroom Epeli and workshop space can be reserved from customer service.

Second floor: Glass-roofed reading room, art, music and sports books, sheet music and CDs, Laura and Einari meeting rooms, and Tuusula Point.

Basement: Open storage area with materials available for loan and a reference library; local history collection in the closed section of the storage area.

Accessibility 

Parking spaces for people with reduced mobility are located in the main library courtyard and offer unobstructed access to the main entrance, but the route may be uneven. 

The main entrance to the main library is accessible. 

The accessible toilet is located opposite the customer service desk. 

The second floor and basement are accessible by lift.  

Assistance dogs and reading dogs are welcome in the library. Pets are not allowed in the library. 

The induction loop is in use in customer service and can be activated in the Einari meeting room.
