To the guardian of a pupil at Tuomala School

If you are moving to the vicinity of Tuomala School or would like to apply to our school for other reasons, please contact the school principal.

Guardians can create Wilma accounts for themselves when registering their child for the first grade. The other parent can request a key code from the school secretary to create an account.

If a pupil changes schools during their comprehensive school education, you will automatically receive the necessary key code from the school secretary when you enrol at the school.

Support for Tuomala village school – TKKT ry – Working on behalf of Tuomala pupils

TKKT ry is a parents’ association whose purpose is to promote the activities of the Tuomala village school, founded in 1928. The association provides financial support for extracurricular activities such as camp schools, study trips, scholarships and the purchase of lea ing equipment. In addition, the association promotes cooperation between the school’s pupils, guardians and employees through various events and active dialogue between the school, the village, the municipality and guardians. The aim is to create the best possible environment for children to grow and lea , and to promote their balanced and diverse development. 

The association’s most visible activity is the annual Christmas market held at the Tuomala village school. The market is organised in cooperation with parents, pupils and staff, and is a much-anticipated part of the village’s Christmas tradition. In addition, TKKT supports the organisation of school discos and runs a café at school events such as the annual trading card event. 

The biggest thing the association supports is the eagerly awaited school trip for 5th and 6th graders, which happens every other year. The trip goes to a different place each time. 

The association’s activities are coordinated by a board of parents elected each autumn, which traditionally includes representatives from each grade level. 

The municipality of Tuusula has criteria for granting school transport. You can read about the criteria on the municipality’s website. School transport is granted by the school principal and can be applied for using the Wilma form.

Guardians can apply for temporary absence for pupils from the class teacher or head teacher in Wilma under “Applications and decisions”.

Leave of absence from school for more than three days must be requested from the head teacher.

Sudden absences due to illness must be reported via Wilma in accordance with the teacher’s instructions.
