To the guardian of a pupil at Vaunukangas School

Guardians can create Wilma accounts for themselves when registering their child for the first grade. The other parent can request a key code from the school secretary to create an account.

If a pupil changes schools during their comprehensive school education, you will automatically receive the necessary key code from the school secretary when you enrol at the school.

Vaunukankaan Koti-kouluyhdistys r.y.(switch to another service) is an association founded and maintained by parents for pupils and parents of Vaunukankaan School. Its purpose is to serve as a forum for discussing matters of mutual interest to the school and parents and, within the limits of available resources, to support the school’s extracurricular and excursion activities.

In recent years, for example, the association has covered the costs of the entire school’s spring trip. The association raises funds through joint events organised several times during the school year, such as evening gatherings, theatre performances, flea markets and volunteer work. At the same time, the aim is to combine fun and practical benefits.

In principle, all parents of pupils at the school are potential members of the Home-School Association. Membership does not entail any obligations, and the association does not charge a membership fee.

The association has a board, which is elected once a year at the autumn meeting. The board members are responsible for the association’s activities and related matters.

The municipality of Tuusula has criteria for granting school transport. School transport is granted by the school principal and can be applied for using the Wilma form.

Carers and school taxis pick up pupils from the drop-off point next to the school playground during break time.

Guardians can apply for temporary absence for pupils from the class teacher or head teacher in Wilma under “Applications and decisions”.

Any absence from school lasting more than three days must be requested from the head teacher.

Sudden absences due to illness must be reported in accordance with the teacher’s instructions.
