Summer and winter maintenance
We take care of snow ploughing, anti-skid treatment, dust binding and other maintenance. Here you will find information about which roads are the responsibility of the municipality. You can provide feedback on street snow ploughing, missing or faulty traffic signs, and broken street and traffic lights.

Snow clearance from streets and roads
The Tuusula municipality has roads managed by the municipality, the New Economic Development Centre, private landowners and other road owners. The roads managed by the municipality of Tuusula are maintained by both the municipality’s own employees and exte al contractors, which the municipality puts out to tender at regular intervals. The municipality manages snow ploughing contracts throughout the municipality.
The Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities’ guide Kadut kuntoon (Fixing Streets) explains, among other things, the responsibilities of property owners.
Maintenance responsibilities can be found on the Tuusula map service. You can open the entire map by clicking on the arrow in the upper left co er of the map image.

Street lighting and traffic lights
Street lights are on throughout the year during twilight and darkness, even in summer. The lights switch on and off automatically using a twilight switch. If the lights are on during daylight hours, they are probably being serviced.
Municipal street lights and traffic lights are maintained by contracted contractors. They perform maintenance and repair individual street lights that have gone out every eight weeks.
Please report any faults in the lighting network, such as flickering or non-functioning lights. It is particularly important to report street lights that flicker intermittently, as this type of fault is difficult for contractors to detect.
Report broken street lights and traffic lights
You can report a broken street or traffic light to the contractor. When you make a report, please provide the address of the light and describe the nature of the fault.
Traffic light faults: liikennevaloviat@swarco.fi
Street lighting faults: katuvaloviat.tuusula@eltelnetworks.com or 040 311 3838

If a traffic sign is missing or defective on a municipal street or in a public area, please submit your feedback online or contact our centralised customer service.
