Meeting rooms

The Bomba building is located in Kotkanpuisto, Riihikallio. Bomba is suitable, for example, as a support and backstage area for park events. The venue is available for booking from Monday to Sunday, 8.00 am–10.00 pm. The venue is not wheelchair accessible.

Bomba’s equipment:

• The building consists of a 20-square-metre room, a toilet and a storeroom.
• The room has two tables and four chairs, one bench and two high chairs.
• There are no cooking facilities in the building.

The gazebo is situated at the highest point of the cliff, at the viewpoint in Fjällbo Park. It is ideal for hosting summer events or for a small group to enjoy a coffee break.

The gazebo has a table and benches for 6–8 people. The space has no heating, electricity or water supply. The gazebo is available for booking from 8.00 am to 10.00 pm, weather permitting, from spring until the end of the autumn season. As the area around the gazebo is not maintained during the winter, we close the booking calendar when winter weather sets in. For the 2025 summer season, the gazebo will close at the end of October.

We charge a €20 booking fee for use of the gazebo. You can book the venue directly by clicking the ‘Book’ button, in which case your booking will be confirmed immediately and payment will be made online. If online payment is not possible, you can submit a booking request and pay when you collect the key.

The keys to the gazebo can be collected from the TuusInfo customer service desk.

The Jokela House is home to the Jokela Library and the Monari youth centre. Some of the building’s facilities are also available for hire by associations and organisations. The facilities at the Jokela House are ideal for a wide range of events and gatherings.

The meeting rooms at Jokela House are available free of charge to adult groups from Tuusula-based associations and organisations,

The venues available for booking are the Jokela Hall, the Köksä Back Room and the Dojo.

Sports halls, classrooms, auditoriums and canteens can be booked at schools in the municipality of Tuusula. The facilities available for booking vary from school to school. Facilities can be booked outside school hours in the evenings from 4.30 pm to 10.00 pm and at weekends from 9.00 am to 10.00 pm.

Applications for regular slots in sports halls and other school facilities for the coming academic year can be submitted annually at the beginning of March. The application period lasts two weeks. You can also apply for a slot in a sports hall or other school facility after the application period has closed, provided that slots are still available. 

At present, only some of the school’s facilities are listed in the booking system. If the facility you are looking for is not listed in the system, you can enquire about it directly with the school. Please submit your application at least one week before your preferred booking date.

Monion’s facilities provide a space for residents, associations and communities to come together, for example to hold meetings and enjoy shared activities. The versatile spaces can also be used to host a wide range of events, such as concerts, fairs, exhibitions and corporate functions.

Monion’s premises:

• The Riihi Hall features a fixed auditorium with 164 seats and a fixed stage. Thanks to its size and acoustics, the venue is ideal for hosting exclusive concerts, for example. We rent out the Riihi Hall on a case-by-case basis, depending on the event and circumstances. Enquiries are handled by our central customer service team, TuusInfo.
• The Kartano Hall is available to hire for events and functions. The hire rates for the Kartano Hall are the same as those for sports facilities in schools within the municipality of Tuusula. (opens in a new window, switch to another service)The Kartano Hall features a 342-seat telescopic seating system. With individual chairs, the maximum seating capacity is 417. 
• The Monio-monttu (auditorium recess) is located on the ground floor, adjacent to the café. As the space opens onto the lobby, any event held there must be public and open to all. The space is equipped with a projector and sound equipment suitable for small-scale talks and musical performances.
• The Tupa meeting room can accommodate 24 people. The room is equipped with AV facilities and Wi-Fi. There is a small kitchen in the corridor next to the room, where you can make coffee. The room can be booked from Monday to Friday between 4.30 pm and 10.00 pm and at weekends between 8.00 am and 10.00 pm.
• Galleria Monio is a 99.5-square-metre exhibition space for the visual arts, equipped for wire hanging as well as featuring freestanding screens and sculpture pedestals. The gallery hosts three exhibition periods throughout the year, for which an open call for applications is held once a year. At other times, the gallery is used by the building’s other organisations.

Metsäpirtti is a camp centre located at Rusutjärvi, about five kilometres from Hyrylä. Metsäpirtti is an excellent venue for camps, school camps, courses, celebrations or training sessions. 

At Metsäpirtti, you can hire the main building (for 100 people), with or without accommodation (40 beds), the lakeside sauna (for 15 people) and the nature school classroom (for 30 people) attached to the main building. 

The main library has two meeting rooms, Einari and Laura. The rooms can be booked for use by associations and clubs. Both meeting rooms have an open Wi-Fi network (Tuusula Vieras). You are welcome to bring your own refreshments to the rooms.

• Einar has 40 seats at lecture tables. An additional 15 chairs can be provided on request (55 seats in total). The room is equipped with a video screen, document camera, overhead projector, whiteboard, flipchart and induction loop, as well as a laptop and conference speaker system upon request.
• Laura has a large conference table and 20 chairs. The room is equipped with a video screen, a video projector, a projection screen, a whiteboard and a flipchart; a laptop and conference speakers are available on request.

Residents of Tuusula and associations, clubs and other organisations based in Tuusula may use the meeting rooms free of charge. If the room is booked for commercial activities, business operations or the pursuit of a trade, we charge €18 per hour. Bookings made by non-local organisations, bookings for private events and unused bookings are also charged at €18 per hour. 

Early years education facilities can be hired outside of normal operating hours. Booking slots can be requested as one-off bookings or as a regular slot for the entire term. The facilities at the Martta Wendelin, Notkopuisto, Peltokaari and Rykmentinpuisto nurseries can be booked via the booking system. Applications for other nurseries can be submitted directly to the manager of the nursery or family centre.
