Presentation of Metsäpirtti's facilities

The renovated main building was completed in 2010, when the original section, built in 1985, was refurbished and a new wing was added to house accommodation, a lobby area and a nature school classroom. The main building has a total floor area of 567 m². The building’s meeting and dining area is 73 m² in size. The kitchen is equipped with a wide range of appliances and dining and coffee equipment for 100 people. 

You can reserve either all of the facilities in the main building or:  

• for meetings or celebrations in the main building, in which case the accommodation wing and nature school are not in use
• accommodation in the main building or for camping, in which case the accommodation wing is in use
• nature classroom in the main building. 

Training and dining area

You may arrange the tables and chairs in the room as you wish. We require that after use, the fu iture be neatly retu ed to its place in the chair or table trolley or otherwise arranged as agreed with the staff. All tables have tablecloths that can be borrowed for festive occasions.

Fu ishings:

• Armchairs and fabric-covered chairs, 70 pcs. Can be stacked on chair trolleys and moved to the chair storage room if the space is needed for other purposes.
• Folding tables, size 140 x 70 cm, 17 pieces. Stackable on table trolleys. Can be moved to the chair storage room if the space is needed for other purposes.

AV equipment

Equipment may be used but not moved from its location. Personal equipment may be connected to the equipment, but must be disconnected after use.

• Blu-ray mini hi-fi system. You can connect your computer, mobile phone or other audio source to the device either via Bluetooth or using the appropriate cables.
• documentary camera from nature school, if necessary.

Also in the lobby:

• flat-screen TV with inte et connection and good connectivity options for computers.

Accessibility

The main building has a wheelchair ramp and accessible toilet facilities inside. The accommodation wing has four shower rooms, two of which are accessible.

The kitchen is equipped as a production kitchen, so persons working in the kitchen and using kitchen equipment must have good hygiene skills and experience in using the equipment. Metsäpirtti’s self-monitoring plan must be followed in the kitchen. Dining and serving utensils may be used. However, we require that they be washed after use and neatly stored in their proper places in the cupboards.

Kitchen appliances

Kitchen utensils such as GN oven trays, pots, graters, peelers and chopping boards are available for food preparation. There are a few knives for basic needs, but it is advisable to bring your own.

Basic serving utensils such as bowls, trays and tongs are provided. For larger parties and events, it is advisable to bring your own serving utensils.

The beach sauna can be rented separately, independently of the main building.

The beach sauna has a 37 m² fireplace room with an open fireplace and a large table that can seat 15 adults at a time, for example for meetings. The fireplace room also has a kitchenette equipped with a dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, coffee maker and cutlery for 30 people. AV equipment: 42-inch flat-screen TV with computer connection and DVD/stereo combination player.

The sauna changing rooms and toilets are located in a new building with a covered walkway.

There is a large jetty and barbecue shelter with a kitchenette on the shore. A rowing boat, stand-up paddle boards, canoes and a pedal boat are also available for use.

Accessibility

The beach sauna is accessible via a wheelchair ramp. There is an accessible toilet next to the changing rooms. The shower rooms have grab rails on the walls, but the steam room is not accessible.

The accommodation rooms at Metsäpirtti are located in the accommodation wing, which has a total of ten rooms for four people. The rooms have two box spring beds (80 cm x 200 cm) and one bunk bed (90 cm x 200 cm), four wardrobes, two armchairs and a coffee table. The accommodation wing has separate toilets and washrooms for girls and boys. The rooms have pillows, bedspreads and blankets. The beds also have hygienic covers. If necessary, you can rent bed linen (bottom sheet, duvet cover and pillowcase) from Metsäpirtti. Rentals are made in the Timmi system under the Additional Reservations tab in the accommodation reservations. You are welcome to bring your own bed linen, but sleeping bags are not permitted.

Please note that bedding must not be removed from the beds for use elsewhere.

Accessibility

The accommodation rooms have fairly heavy fire doors with door pumps. The doors also have thresholds that are fairly low and do not prevent wheelchair access. The accommodation facilities have two wings with fire compartments between them. There are therefore fire doors with door pumps between the compartments.
