Museum encounters

The Tuusula Museum reached out to children and young people through its cultural education plan and other museum education activities. These events were organised as classroom teaching 258 times and attracted 6,000 participants. The museum’s other public outreach activities, such as lectures, workshops and volunteer work, reached nearly 3,000 participants in approximately 60 different events outside the museum during the year.

Culture offered experiences for all ages

Tuusula Culture organised 40 events during the year, comprising a total of 203 performances. The events attracted over 20,000 participants, half of whom were under 18 years of age. During the year, services were purchased from 223 artists and 32 event technology professionals.

The biggest events were Tuusula Arts Night and Tuusula Week, as well as Skidiviikot, an event for children held in March and November. In addition, young people and families were targeted with the youth band event MONI ON ICON and outdoor films in Hyrylä, which were the winning projects in participatory budgeting. Together with Moni’s new cultural events, the Minä elän! (I Live!) clubs at museums offered atmospheric cultural experiences for the residents of Tuusula.
