Summer artist Tua Holappa invites local residents to workshops in Tuusula
Tua Holappa, Tuusula’s summer artist, invites local residents to take part in interviews and workshops where they will build scale models of spaces that hold personal significance for them.

Set designer Tua Holappa has been selected as Tuusula’s Summer Artist for 2026. She will be working alongside local residents, exploring places of significance through memories and emotions.
Exhibition selections for the vacant slots at Galleria Monio
In April, Tuusula Municipality organised a call for applications for exhibition slots at Galleria Monio. Five three-week exhibition periods were available, running from autumn 2026 to spring 2027. A total of nine applications were received.

Every year, the Culture and Leisure Committee presents the ‘Culture-Friendly Person of the Year’ award to an individual or organisation. There’s still time to nominate a recipient!
Tuusula Arts Night brings art to Tuusula in early August
On Friday 7 August, Tuusula Arts Night will be celebrated at various community centres.
The Kellokoski Ironworks area will be filled with music, workshops and a summer atmosphere on Tuusula Day in July
Tuusula Day will be celebrated at Kellokoski Ironworks as part of Tuusula Week on Wednesday 22 July from 2 pm. The event will bring music, theatre and workshops for the whole family to the area.
Tuusula Council is organising home concerts for older people
In May, Tuusula Municipality is offering ten free home concerts for older people who find it difficult to attend cultural events held outside their homes. This is the third time the home concert tour has been organised, and the programme features accordion music.
Tuusula to be the main organiser of Central Uusimaa Pride in 2026 – Pride Week will be celebrated from 24 to 28 August
Keski-Uusimaa Pride invites you to celebrate diversity and equality from 24 to 29 August. The main celebration will be held at the Monio Cultural Centre.
The Skidiviikko programme has been published – free children's culture events throughout the municipality
Skidiviikko takes over Tuusula with children's culture from 2 to 7 March. The week will feature a diverse and exciting programme of performing arts, with no fewer than 22 performances scheduled. Registration for the performances begins on Wednesday 11 February at 9 a.m. The week culminates in Children's Saturday on 7 March in Jokela.
