Tuusula, Finland's most welcoming municipality!

The municipality of Tuusula invites you and your community to participate in the first Caring Championship from 1 April to 31 May 2025.

The Caring Championships are an open team competition that aims to inspire people to volunteer and work together to create well-being, community spirit and a culture of responsible caring. The competition facilitates rewarding encounters between different target groups and increases mutual understanding and compassion.

Teams formed by companies, associations, clubs, educational institutions, daycare centres, hobby groups and residents can participate in the Caring Championship and volunteer work. Team members participating in the competition earn points for their team by doing volunteer work during April and May.

Register as a competition organiser by 28 February.

We invite residents, communities and parishes to organise group volunteer activities as organisers of the SM-kisat competition events, i.e. to act as competition venues during April and May. Competition events can include outdoor activities, games, music, singing, dancing, baking, pancake parties, food aid, sorting goods or voluntary work in green areas. The competitions facilitate rewarding encounters between different target groups and increase mutual understanding and empathy.

Instructions for registering as a competition organiser:

  1. Consider what kind of activity or event you need volunteers for between 1 April and 31 May 2025.
  2. Go to the Home page – Caring Championship(switch to another service)
  3. Click on “Registration” in the top right corner.
  4. Select Team registration or Organisation and community registration as competition organiser from the menu.

The exact dates of the competitions do not need to be known at the time of registration. Instead, applicants can tick the option ‘Date flexible/not yet known’ on the registration form.
