Volunteers as part of everyday community life in early years education

Early years education in Tuusula is supported by a fantastic group of volunteers. Volunteers bring warmth, joy and meaningful interactions to everyday life in early years education. In nurseries, shared activities between children of different ages – from woolly-sock walks to forest granny outings and story times with reading grannies – build bridges between generations and strengthen children’s wellbeing, sense of belonging and connection with nature.

We invite everyone to join in heartfelt volunteer work – the Caring Championships kick off on April Fool's Day

Volunteer work

The municipality of Tuusula invites residents, company and community staff, educational institutions, hobby groups and families to participate in the Caring Championship from 1 April to 31 May 2025. You can participate in one of the events in the competition programme by putting together your own team of at least three people or by registering as an event organiser. Registration for the events is now open and will continue throughout April and May, and you can register as an organiser until the end of March.
