The most delicious event of the year is almost here – come to the Cake Festival in Monio on Saturday, 10 May.
How does Tuusula taste? Come and get inspired by cakes. Decorate cupcakes for Motheru0026#x27;s Day, buy some treats to take home, or be inspired by the wonderful cakes in the cake competition. The free Cake Festival event for the whole family will be held for the first time on the eve of Motheru0026#x27;s Day, Saturday 10 May 2025, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Monio.
At the Cake Festival, you can buy mouth-watering treats, take part in a cake competition and bake a cupcake for your mother on Mother’s Day. There will also be other fun activities!
The event will be held at the Monio Cultural Centre at Pataljoonantie 6, Tuusula.
A programme to enjoy while indulging
On the eve of Mother’s Day, you can decorate your own cupcake for your mum. There are cupcakes for the first 100 people! The decoration station is run by Hellapoliisi, aka Kati Jaakonen, and you can use Confetti’s decorations at the station. The cupcakes are baked for us by Uudenmaan Herkku.

be providing the music for the day, performing at 12.30 p.m., 1.30 p.m. and 2.30 p.m.
At the Metsänautti stand, you can roast marshmallows on sticks, Sokeripoika is selling candy floss, and at the Confetti stand, children can get temporary tattoos.
Take part in the cake competition!
Sign up for the cake competition and bring your delicious or impressive filled cake from Tuusula to the event venue on the day for the judges and audience to admire. There are three categories in the competition: professionals, home bakers and children/young people under 16 years of age. Participants from outside Tuusula are also welcome. Admiring and judging the cakes in the cake competition and announcing the winners will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon.
The competition’s partners include Confetti Oy, Kivaa Juhliisi, Konditoria pH7 and Hellapoliisi. The jury includes Sanna Partanen, Deputy Managing Director of Confetti Oy, and Toni Rantala, master confectioner at Konditoria pH7, who is also known from television.
