Swimming lessons are available at summer swimming schools, which are being held at the Järvenpää swimming pool this time, as the Tuusula swimming pool is undergoing renovations. Registration for swimming lessons is now open.
The library will host a book recommendation concert on 11 June for families and daycare groups, and the Kirre library bus and library bike will visit Kotkanpuisto Park and Tuusulanjärvi School during June in connection with park lunch breaks. The programme for the visits includes small summer activities and the distribution of discarded books.
During the first three weeks of June, summer clubs will be held for pupils in grades 1–3. The summer clubs will be held at the Lepola, Kellokoski, Riihikallio, Tuusulanjärvi and Vaunukangas schools and at the Hyrylä school centre. Registration is open until 25 May.
The summer courses at the art school, held from 2 to 6 June at Monio and Kellokoski schools, provide a comprehensive introduction to various techniques and materials used in the visual arts. The summer courses are suitable for all 7–13-year-olds interested in the visual arts.
At the museum’s Archaeologists’ Summer Camp from 2 to 6 June, participants will have the opportunity to learn traditional skills and play together. There is room for 14 children aged 7–12. The camp will be held at Klaavola House and its grounds. On the last day of the camp, there will be an excursion to Halosenniemi.
Young people are aware of the summer activities offered by youth services. In addition to the open activities at youth centres, there will be events and excursions, and in June you can join youth workers and sports instructors for some exercise.
