Update 22 May 2025: Due to popular demand, we have added an extra round, which will start at 6 p.m.

– We are delighted to be able to offer residents and others interested in the premises the opportunity to get a first taste of the possibilities offered by the new building complex at the beginning of the summer. The completed premises will be open to visitors at the end of 2025. Please follow our communications on this topic in the autumn, says Markus Torvinen, Acting Director of Education and Culture.

The first life cycle project creates a diverse building complex

The Rykmentinpuisto school and daycare complex, due for completion in the summer, is the first life cycle project in the municipality of Tuusula.

– The life cycle project includes property design and construction work as well as building maintenance services for a 20-year service period. The model enables a high-quality and long-term solution for the municipality, says Jyri Olkkonen, head of the project office.

Once completed, the Rykmentinpuisto school and daycare centre will offer children, young people and staff modern and healthy learning facilities. In autumn 2025, the Hyökkälä and Mikkola schools and their pupils will be merged into Rykmentinpuisto. The upper secondary school will bring together young people from different schools in the area for their upper secondary education. The school will also bring together special needs pupils from the area.

The Rykmentinpuisto school and daycare centre combine learning, culture and the joy of exercise thanks to its proximity to a sports centre and a versatile local sports field. The building serves children, young people and their teachers as well as residents. Outside school and daycare hours, the facilities can be used by various municipal user groups, such as clubs, associations and adult education centres. The facilities serve as a shared living room for the residents of the area.
