YIT has been selected as the service provider for the Lahela school, nursery and youth centre lifecycle project
On Monday 24 August, the Tuusula Municipal Executive Board selected YIT Rakennus Oy as the service provider for the forthcoming Lahela life-cycle project. The project involves the design and construction of Lahela School, a nursery and a youth centre, as well as the provision of property maintenance and user services over a 20-year service period.
The Särmä Business and Service Centre is complete – services will open during the autumn
The Tuusula Town Hall is located in Särmä, which has been built in Hyrylä; the building will also house retail outlets and other services. Urban Partners, which was responsible for the development and construction of the project, has handed over the premises to Tuusula Municipality and to the commercial operators who will be based in the centre, who are responsible for the finishing works and commissioning of the premises. Jatke Toimitilat acted as the project contractor.

The negotiation phase of the Lahela school, daycare centre and youth centre life cycle project has begun
The competitive negotiation process for the next target of the Tuusula service network reform, the Lahela school, daycare centre and youth centre, began on 22 August 2025. Negotiations will be held with three candidates.
Riihikallio School, Rykmentinpuisto School and Daycare Centre have been completed
The Riihikallio School and the Rykmentinpuisto School and Daycare Centre are ready for use. Over the past few weeks, the buildings have been furnished, and operations will commence this week at the start of the 2025–2026 school year.
Efforts are being made to ensure the safety of schoolchildren travelling to Rykmentinpuisto School
The Rykmentinpuisto school and daycare centre will open in August 2025 at Rykmentin puistotie 19. The municipality of Tuusula will improve traffic safety in the area by installing speed bumps and directing schoolchildren to light traffic lanes. The need for traffic volume and other solutions will be monitored.
All facilities at Peltokaaren daycare centre now in use
The number of children attending the Peltokaaren daycare centre in Jokela has risen sharply, and all sections of the building are now in use. Tuusula's newest municipal daycare centre now has around 90 children. The building is also used by a group of open family activity clients.

The construction of the Rykmentinpuisto school and daycare centre is in its final stages. Operations will commence in the new premises in August 2025. You can familiarise yourself with the future school and daycare centre during guided tours, which will be held on 4 June between 3 and 6 p.m. Register by 3 June!
