The removal of the steel support walls at the library end will begin in early June (the schedule
will be confirmed). The work is expected to take one week and will cause
noise and vibration. During the work, the rear entrance to the library will be closed, and the library’s return box will be placed near the front entrance for the duration of the work. The temporary access route is shown in the image below.
Observe the no parking signs in the vicinity of the construction site. Cars parked incorrectly in the area may be towed away at the owner’s expense.
There is heavy traffic, including articulated lorries, on Autoasemankatu and Hyryläntie near the construction site. Please follow the traffic instructions and road signs.
Transport and traffic
Access to the properties will remain open throughout the construction project. Please follow traffic signs and recommendations.
The route to the library between the construction site and the library is closed with gates until further notice. The alternative route replacing the closed route is shown in the image below. Other routes and access to the library’s return box are open as normal.
Please note that only library maintenance vehicles and vehicles travelling to LE parking spaces are permitted in front of the library.
