This year’s Tuusula Day combines the historic setting of the ironworks area, a sense of community and a varied cultural programme. The main stage will feature the whole family’s favourite, Pikku Papun Orkesteri, the contemporary folk music group Freeta, and an energetic performance by award-winning musician Saara Törmä. During the day, there will also be a welcome address by Tuusula’s Mayor Janne Mellin and the presentation of the Culture-Friendly Person of the Year award.

Teatteri Nano’s puppet show *Kummitus Kumppari – An Adventure to the Bottom of the Sea* will be performed at Tinaamo, taking the audience on an underwater adventure. During the day, you can also get to know Teatteri Nano’s puppets and how they work.

There’s plenty to do at the event throughout the afternoon. As well as performances, the programme includes craft activities, embroidery and a ribbon-making workshop, plus soap bubbles for the little ones. In the hospital car park, you can hop on a horse-drawn carriage ride and enjoy the summer atmosphere of the ironworks area at a more leisurely pace. All activities are free of charge.

The Kinuski café-restaurant will be open in the area throughout the event. Kinuski serves a range of savoury and sweet treats, as well as delicious refreshments.
