The seminar examined key indicators for promoting wellbeing and health, as well as how these initiatives are reflected in Tuusula’s various services and areas of activity. Among other things, the discussion focused on the importance of cooperation for the everyday wellbeing of local residents.

– We would like to thank the panellists for sharing their perspectives from different fields. Promoting wellbeing and health is a statutory municipal service and one of the municipality’s most important tasks. By investing in wellbeing at an early stage, we are building a sustainable and vibrant Tuusula, says Tuija Reinikainen, Chair of the Municipal Council.

The panel included Riina Kärkkäinen, a young resident of Tuusula; Gazale Giray from the TE Services; Jutta Saikkonen from the fire and rescue service; and Janni Rekilä from the Hyvinkää and Central Uusimaa welfare region’s network of organisations.

The local authority is currently drawing up a wellbeing programme. At present, various committees are holding preliminary discussions to support the preparation of the wellbeing programme.

The second main theme was the municipality’s strategy. The council was given an update on the implementation of the new strategy and took part in the preparation of the annual targets for 2027, which will be used to put the strategy into practice.

– It is important to engage in dialogue and build a shared understanding of how to implement the strategy so that we can set annual targets for 2027 that will help drive the strategy forward, says Strategy Manager Ada Pentinmikko

The seminar also featured a presentation of the visual identity for Tuusula’s new strategy. The illustrations for the strategy were created by the artist Anetta Lukjanova.
