Decisions of the Municipal Executive, 1 June 2026
The Municipal Executive met on Monday 1 June 2026.
§ 255 Delegation of pricing for ET areas
The Municipal Executive has decided to propose to the Municipal Council that the Council authorise the Head of Land Use and the Director of Municipal Development, within the limits of their respective powers, to transfer the plots of land on which the buildings used by the rescue services and serving municipal services are situated, at a market price.
§ 256 Approval of an amendment to the agreement between Tuusula Municipality and the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency concerning the implementation, cooperation and financing arrangements for the Blennerintie project
Kati Lepojärvi proposed that the matter be referred back for further consideration. Reasons: The proposal is not in line with the council’s 2026 budget decision, which requires investments to be prioritised in such a way that priority is given to projects that are statutory and resident-focused, as well as those offering the municipality the greatest expected return and potential for implementation. The Municipal Executive Board approved the project at the time on the basis of a substantially lower cost estimate. The cost increase of almost 50 per cent now proposed alters the project’s financial implications so significantly that the original justifications for the matter no longer apply as such. Before committing to additional funding, the possibility of phasing the project, postponing it, reducing costs and reviewing the cost allocation must be investigated. For this reason, the cost increase should not be approved until the necessity of the project, the alternatives and its relationship to the council’s investment priorities have been reassessed.
Ari Nyman, supported by Mika Timonen, proposed that the matter be left on the table.
The municipal executive decided to leave the matter on the table.
§ 257 Matters relating to notifications
The Municipal Executive decided to take note of the matters raised.
§ 258 Miscellaneous matters
The Municipal Executive decided to take note of any other matters.
