Gasgrid announces: Work on the natural gas pipeline relocation project in the Rykmentinpuisto area of Tuusula is due to be completed in August

We are carrying out modification work on a natural gas transmission pipeline in the Rykmentinpuisto area of Tuusula, due to the Tuusula municipal road project and changes in land-use requirements. The route will be altered over a distance of approximately 650 metres. The draining of the natural gas pipeline as part of the works will cause temporary noise on 19 August 2026.

Work carried out on site will cause noise for approximately 20 minutes on 19 August between 7.00 and 21.00. The noise is caused by the purging, cleaning and pressurisation of the natural gas pipeline. The work will cause short-term noise within a radius of approximately 300 metres from the Hyrylä pressure-reducing station.

There may also be a smell of natural gas odourant in the area, which is not dangerous. The draining of the gas pipeline will not cause any other inconvenience or danger to local residents.
