Welcome to a free event as part of Senior Citizens’ Week (5–11 October 2026) to a discussion event on safety, to be held at the Monion Monttu cultural centre on Tuesday 6 October 2026 from 4.00 pm to 6.30 pm. Advance registration is required for the event.
During the evening, you’ll receive practical tips on everyday safety, preparedness and safe internet use, and you’ll have the chance to chat with experts and other participants. The event is organised by Tuusula Municipality and EMO ry(opens in a new window, switch to another service).
The event will cover, amongst other things, how to act during a general alarm and in the event of a power cut or water supply disruption. During the coffee break, participants will have the opportunity to explore these topics in more depth in workshops, where they will discuss the importance of community spirit for safety and event safety. The evening will conclude with a topical talk on how to stay safe online and recognise the most common online risks.
Come along to listen, discuss and build up your own safety skills together with others.
