The customer services in Särmä will open on Monday 14 September
Many of Tuusula Municipality’s services will be relocated to Särmä, the new business and service centre in Hyrylä, on Monday 14 September. In this article, you will find information about the services provided by the municipality at Särmä and how to get there.
Särmä’s address is Autoasemankatu 4. TuusInfo, the Tuusula municipal customer service centre, and other customer service facilities are located on the second floor, whilst the conference centre is on the third floor. From the Särmä shopping arcade on the ground floor, there is access to the council’s premises via stairs and a lift.
The list below shows which of the municipality’s customer service functions are available on Särmä. You can also see the floors on which the services are located, their opening hours and whether an appointment is required.
We would appreciate your understanding whilst the services are being launched – there may be a few exceptions to the service offering during the first few days.

The Environment Centre will also be moving to Särmä
In addition to the functions of Tuusula Municipality and the employment region, the regional services of the Central Uusimaa Environmental Centre will also be transferred to Särmä. Särmä serves clients in the areas of environmental monitoring, environmental protection, animal welfare, food control and health protection.
Client meetings must be arranged in advance with the person responsible for the relevant inspection. You can find their contact details on the Central Uusimaa Environment Centre’s website.
Sample bottles for testing your own well water are available from the TuusInfo service point. Samples can be handed in at TuusInfo on Thursdays between 9 am and 12 noon. There is a charge for customers to have their samples tested.
Due to the move, there will be a break in the collection and handover of water samples from 7 to 14 September. During this period, water samples will not be accepted and sample bottles will not be issued to customers.
Arrival and parking
The Särmä building has two underground car park levels. Access to the car park is available from both Tuusulanväylä and Hyryläntie. Charging points for electric cars are located on the lower car park level, i.e. level K2.
You can check parking rates and terms and conditions on the website of Aimo Park, the organisation that manages the car park. The car park levels are accessible on foot at street level via lifts, moving walkways and stairs.
There is also parking available in the outdoor car park in front of Särmä and the main library. In total, there are around 550 parking spaces at Särmä and in the surrounding area for the use of visitors to the building.
In addition, the Koskensillantie multi-storey car park, located on the Hyryläntie side of Särmä, has been completed and will open for use in October.
Särmä is also easily accessible by public transport. If you’re travelling by bus, you can get off at the Autoasemankatu stop or at the bus station, from where it’s just a short walk to Särmä.
If you arrive by bike, you can leave it in one of the bike racks, of which there are several along the walls of Särmä. The racks allow you to lock the frame of your bike.
Directions to the council’s customer service centres
As finishing work is still being carried out on other areas on the ground floor of Särmä, temporary access arrangements will be in place initially.
Initially, access is only via Staircase A from the northern main entrance. The entrance on the Tykkimiehenpolku side – that is, the side facing the social and health centre – is not yet in use.
A partition wall has been erected in the lobby of the first floor – that is, the ground floor – to separate the commercial premises on that floor from the stairwell and the lifts.
