The shrubbery in the sunbathing and relaxation area will be replaced, and new trees will be planted there.
A new concrete kerb is being built at the winter swimming spot located to the north-west of the pond, near the bathing beach; this will make it possible to walk from the changing huts to the jetty, particularly in winter. A bench-and-table combination will be permanently installed on the paving.
Heavy machinery is being used in the area, and access will have to be restricted whilst work is carried out in stages. Safe passage will be ensured for those moving around the area.
