With the Kaikukortti Card, culture in Tuusula is for everyone

The aim of the Kaikukortti Card is to improve opportunities for young people, adults and families facing financial hardship to participate in cultural life and engage in artistic activities. With the Kaikukortti Card, you can obtain free tickets to events such as concerts, festivals, dance performances or the theatre. The card is personal and free of charge.

You can get a Kaikukortti Card when:

• You are a client of a social and health care provider or an organisation involved in the distribution of Kaikukortti cards, operating in the field of social and health care or health promotion (see the list of card distribution points in Tuusula below)
• you are also on a tight budget and are therefore unable to buy tickets or book places on courses
• You must be at least 16 years old

The following organisations in the social and health care sector, or those involved in promoting wellbeing and health, distribute the Kaikukortti Card to their own customers in Tuusula:

Ask for your Kaikukortti Card from the staff at the social and healthcare or wellbeing and health promotion organisation where you are a client. You do not need to provide proof of your income to receive the card.

With the Kaikukortti Card, you can purchase tickets to cultural venues participating in the Kaikucard Card scheme. The Kaikukortti Card covers the majority of cultural offerings at these venues. You can also use the Kaikukortti Card to book places on courses at Tuusula Adult Education Centre or Jokela Adult Education Centre.

Purchase your ticket using your Kaikukortti Card via the cultural venue’s own ticketing channels. When purchasing a ticket, please be prepared to show your Kaikukortti Card and provide the card’s ID number. You cannot purchase tickets from the online shop using your Kaikukortti Card. There may be a limited number of Kaikukortti-tickets available. For more information on tickets, please visit the cultural venues’ websites.

If you wish to take a course at Tuusula Adult Education Centre or Jokelan Adult Education Centre, please register for the course in advance as usual and also provide your Kaikukortti ID to the adult education centre’s office. Find out more on the centres’ own websites; you’ll find the links in the list above. There may be a limited number of Kaikukortti-admission tickets and course places available.

If you have children or grandchildren under the age of 18, you can use your Kaikukortti Card to get free tickets for them too when you attend the same event together. Your children or grandchildren can also join you on some of the adult education centre’s courses.

Organisations in the social and health care sector or those involved in promoting wellbeing and health that issue Kaikukortti cards have access to community Kaikukortti cards. An employee, volunteer or other representative of the organisation can use the organisation’s Kaikukortti Card to obtain a free admission ticket for themselves and for clients under the age of 18 when organising a small-group visit for one or more clients. Clients aged 16 and over must have their own Kaikukortti cards with them on small group visits. A small group consists of, for example, 2–5 people. The community’s Kaikukortti Card cannot be used to attend courses at adult education centres.

At Kaikukortti cultural venues, a customer’s assistant or interpreter is always admitted free of charge. An assistant may be, for example, a personal assistant to a person with reduced mobility, a guide assisting a visually impaired person, or a support worker assisting a person with an intellectual disability. An interpreter may be, for example, a sign language interpreter, a speech-to-text interpreter or a speech-to-speech interpreter. The Kaikukortti Card holder must purchase a separate ticket for their assistant or interpreter.

The Kaikukortti Card is accepted in many towns and cities across Finland. You can use your Kaikukortti Card in any Kaikukortti area.
