Space subsidies

Every year, the municipality of Tuusula grants subsidies for the renovation of community centres maintained by non-profit organisations in Tuusula. Discretionary renovation grants are awarded for exte ally purchased design and labour services and material purchases. No grants are awarded for voluntary work.  

The application must describe the planned renovation work and include at least a justified plan of the renovation work to be carried out, any reports on the public benefit of the organisation and the application for the necessary official permits, a detailed cost estimate, and the implementation method and schedule. 

All non-profit organisations that maintain an organisation building in Tuusula are eligible to apply for the grant. Such organisation buildings include Hyrylän Torppa, Jokelan työväentalo, Nuorisoseurantalo Väinölä, Nuorisoseurantalo Solbacken and Pienviljelijäyhdistyksen talo Linjala.
 
 Grants are paid on the basis of actual costs, and the recipient of the grant is obliged to submit a report to the municipality on the work carried out and its costs by the end of the calendar year. The recipient of the grant may be paid 50% of the total amount of the grant in advance. 

The municipality of Tuusula supports the activities of local community centres by providing assistance with property taxes. Community centres maintained by non-profit organisations in Tuusula are eligible for property tax refunds. Such community centres include Hyrylän Torppa, Jokelan työväentalo, Nuorisoseurantalo Väinölä, Nuorisoseurantalo Solbacken and Pienviljelijäyhdistyksen talo Linjala.
 
 Discretionary The property tax refund subsidy for organisation buildings can be applied for electronically via the municipality’s digital services. The subsidy application must be accompanied by the tax administration’s decision on the property tax for the current year and, upon request, a statement on the organisation’s public benefit status. 

Organisational buildings rent out their premises for various events and activities. The municipality of Tuusula supports the activities of organisational buildings by granting subsidies for their rents. Grants can be awarded to registered associations that rent premises in Tuusula community centres for regular use – for example, for an operating period or calendar year – or for short-term use, such as for annual meetings or training events.
 
 The application must be accompanied by a copy of the rental agreement or other document in which the lessor has confirmed the use of the premises for the stated purpose, as well as proof/receipt of the rent paid (e.g. a receipt printed from online banking or a bank statement). 

The necessary attachments can be added to the application after the application period has ended. Subsequent submission requires that the association has rented the premises for use after the application period has ended and that the rental agreement or proof of payment is therefore not yet available at the time of application.
