Pedestrian safety to be improved in Jokela
The safety of road users crossing at pedestrian crossings is being improved in Jokela with the use of warning capsules, or Välky. The device warns drivers of vehicles approaching the pedestrian crossing by flashing a light. Investing in pedestrian crossing safety is particularly important in areas located near schools.
Changes to Keusote services and opening hours in Jokela and Kellokoski EDITED 18 December
The Central Uusimaa Welfare Area (Keusote) has announced that the opening hours and services of its social and health care units and small health centres will change on 7 January 2026. In Tuusula, the changes will affect the Jokela social and health care unit and the Kellokoski health centre.
Data centre planned for Jokela
The municipality of Tuusula has signed a preliminary agreement to sell approximately 16.7 hectares of land in Jokela to funds managed by the global asset management company Blackstone. A data centre is planned for the area.
Premises available for business activities in Jokela
Several rooms are available for rent by entrepreneurs in the health centre building in the centre of Jokela. Located 400 metres from the station, the premises are suitable for office and reception services, for example.
Resurfacing work will disrupt traffic on Opintie in Jokela starting on 22 October.
The road section will remain open during the work, but the work may cause minor delays to traffic.
Jokela station building available as a place to start a business
The municipality of Tuusula is looking for an entrepreneur to rent the Jokela station building. Our goal is to find a partner for the building who will keep the station open to residents.
Main line development work will bring track changes to Jokela station
The Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency has announced that excavation work will be carried out as part of the railway development project between Helsinki and Riihimäki, which will result in the platform and track adjacent to Jokela station being out of use on weekdays during daytime hours from 25 August onwards.
