The general plan for the green network currently under preparation will guide the planning of the entire green structure and network of the municipality of Tuusula at a general and descriptive level. The blue-green structure refers to water bodies and vegetated areas. It includes wooded, open and wet habitats and the areas connecting them, i.e. ecological corridors, as well as built green areas. Parts of the blue-green structure include forests, fields, meadows, parks and waterways, as well as the connections between these areas.  

The draft plan will be discussed by the Municipal Development Committee on 14 May 2025, at which time a decision will also be made on when the draft plan will be made available for public inspection. According to the committee’s agenda, the draft plan should be made available for public inspection between 22 May and 26 June 2025. The exact dates will be confirmed after the meeting. The public inspection will be announced on the municipality’s website and in the local newspaper. 

During the public display period, it is possible to submit opinions and official statements on the draft. The draft green network plan will also be presented at public meetings open to all residents.
