Jatke Toimitilat Oy has published a weekly update on the Särmä business and service centre construction site for week 30, starting on 21 July. Among other things, earthworks will continue on the surface parking area in front of the library.
Work phases in progress during week 30:

- lightweight element installation on facades
- external water and heat insulation
- building perimeter fillings
- roof insulation work

- Earthworks for surface parking area.

Particular attention should be paid to
Observe the no parking signs in the vicinity of the construction site. Cars parked incorrectly in the area may be towed away at the owner’s expense.
There is heavy traffic, including articulated lorries, on Autoasemankatu and Hyryläntie near the construction site. Please follow the traffic instructions and road signs.
During week 31, the pontoon elements supporting the trench walls will be removed at the library end of the construction site (see photo of the area below).
Transport and traffic
Access to the properties will be available throughout the construction project. Please follow traffic signs and recommendations. If necessary, traffic controllers will direct traffic.
The route to the library between the construction site and the library is closed with gates until further notice. The temporary route to the library is shown in the picture below. Other routes are open as normal. The library return slot is next to the main door of the library.
Earthworks are underway in the surface parking area in front of the library. Fences and access routes
to the library will be modified as necessary as the work progresses.
Please note that only library service vehicles and vehicles travelling to LE parking spaces are permitted to drive in front of the library.
