Pekka Lammela’s interest in photography began in the 1950s at Mikkeli Lyceum, where he learned to develop film and take pictures in a darkroom. He bought his first camera, an Agfa rangefinder, in 1954.
From 1968 onwards, Lammela worked as a developer in the school photography sector in Finland until 1996, when he retired from his position as CEO of the company. Before moving to Tuusula in 2003, Pekka Lammela worked in Espoo.
