Special opening hours and the summer break for meals for the elderly
There will be changes to the meal times for older people in Monio on 13 May and from 20 to 26 May. During the summer, from 27 May to 16 August, meals for older people at schools will be suspended.
Celebration of National Veterans' Day in Tuusula on 27 April 2026
Monday 27 April 2026 marks National Veterans’ Day, and to mark the occasion, celebrations will be held in Tuusula at the Monio Cultural Centre and in the Veterans’ Park. Admission is free, but advance registration is required.

Tuusula to be the main organiser of Central Uusimaa Pride in 2026 – Pride Week will be celebrated from 24 to 28 August
Keski-Uusimaa Pride invites you to celebrate diversity and equality from 24 to 29 August. The main celebration will be held at the Monio Cultural Centre.
A low threshold for becoming a theatre maker and participant in Monio
Theatre-themed lectures and courses invite you to Monio. In March and April, Arttu Kapulainen will lead a course on the basics of theatrical expression, and Johanna Kultala will lead a beginner's course on puppet and object theatre for adults. On Tuesday 20 January from 6 to 8.30 p.m., you can learn more about the subject in a free public lecture entitled The Many Faces of Theatre. 100 years since the death of Eino Leino – Tuusula commemorates the poet with the Rantatien Runoruhtinas performance
The poems of Eino Leino (1878–1926) have touched almost every Finn in some way. The 100th anniversary of the master poet's death will be on 10 January 2026. Leino passed away on 10 January 1926 at his friends' house, Nuppulinna, in what is now the Tuusula area.
Spring in Tuusula invites you to enjoy culture at the Minä elän! clubs and Monio events
Tuusula's cultural spring offers experiences with music, stories and magic. Tickets for the beloved Minä elän! clubs and Kulttuuritalo Monio's spring events are now on sale.
Skidiviikko, a week dedicated to children's culture, will be celebrated in Tuusula from 3 to 9 November 2025.
The free performances include theatre, dance, music, magic and even opera for children. The 23 performances during the week will reach a total of 1,700 children. Most of the week's performances are sold out, but there are still some seats available for a few performances.
Independence Day rings out with jazz music in Tuusula
Tuusula will celebrate Finland's independence with swinging music on Saturday, 6 December, when renowned jazz pianist Joonas Haavisto arrives to perform his solo concert at Kulttuuritalo Monio. The concert is free of charge, but advance registration is required. Registration opens on 15 October at 10 a.m.
