Public works on Hyryläntie and Koskenmäentie continue – temporary traffic arrangements expected to remain in place until the end of November

Municipal engineering work on Hyryläntie and Koskenmäentie roads, which is linked to the construction of the Särmä business and service centre, began at the end of August. The work is expected to affect traffic arrangements in the area for longer than originally estimated, until the end of November.

The planned schedule for the construction work currently underway on Hyryläntie and Koskenmäentie has had to be reviewed due to additional work that has arisen as the work has progressed.

According to current estimates, the work will cause exceptional traffic arrangements for road users until the end of November. The area affected by the temporary traffic arrangements is shown on the map below.

Municipal engineering work will first be carried out on Koskenmäentie, moving on to the Hyryläntie intersection to construct a roundabout. The photo shows the area affected by the work.

Buses will be able to operate normally despite the changes to traffic arrangements. As work moves to the construction of the future roundabout at the current intersection, there will also be detours for light traffic users.
