All Tuusula residents under the age of 18, as well as children and young people attending schools in Tuusula, will be able to vote for a few more days. Some have already been given specific times to vote together with their early years or school group. Alternatively, you can also vote on the Tuusula participation platform osallistu.tuusula.fi using the MPASSid credentials provided by your school or via strong authentication, or by attending OSBU voting workshops, where you can verify your identity by presenting your ID card. Everyone can vote once.

There are a total of 170 proposals across six different areas to vote on, all aimed at improving the wellbeing and quality of life of children and young people. Anyone of voting age can vote for as many proposals as they like, in as many areas as they like, within the limits of the area budgets. The regions and budgets, as well as instructions on how to log in and vote, can be found on the participation platform.

The final voting period is now underway and will continue until 9 pm on Wednesday 20 May. After this, voting will close on the participation platform.

At 1 pm on Friday 22 May, the moment we’ve all been waiting for will arrive, when the exciting result of the vote will be revealed.

In a live broadcast on the Tuusula municipality’s YouTube channel, five pupils from Rykmentinpuisto School, together with Mayor Janne Mellin, will announce which of the proposals that received the most votes will be implemented in each area over the course of this year and next. The broadcast is being produced by students from the technology team at the Hyrylä campus of Tuusula Upper Secondary School, together with a teacher.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks in advance to the pupils and students taking part in the production!

Participatory budgeting for children and young people is an integral part of Tuusula’s ‘Child-Friendly Municipality’ initiative, which aims to provide children and young people in Tuusula with a good quality of life in their home town, as well as equal opportunities to participate and have a genuine say in matters that matter to them.
