Voting in the Children and Young People’s Forum takes place from 6 to 20 May
Voting in Tuusula’s participatory budgeting scheme for children and young people will soon begin, with the voting period starting on 6 May 2026. Voting will take place over a two-week period on Tuusula’s participation platform. After the voting period, it will be revealed which of the proposals devised by children and young people to improve well-being and quality of life will be implemented. The results will be announced on 22 May 2026 during a live broadcast.

Riihikallio School completed ahead of schedule and at lower than estimated cost
The municipality of Tuusula has officially accepted the new school building in Riihikallio from the main contractor. The building and its ancillary facilities were accepted last week. The school was completed more than six months ahead of the deadline specified in the contract, and costs were kept under control.
Riihikallio School celebrates its opening ceremony
This week, the new Riihikallio School is officially celebrating the completion and opening of the school. Yesterday, a reception was held in the school building, which opened at the beginning of the autumn term, with many of the school's pupils performing. Today, the school is organising tours, which have attracted a great deal of interest.
Rykmentinpuisto School and Daycare Centre achieve top results in environmental classification
The Rykmentinpuisto school and daycare centre property, which was commissioned in the autumn, was the first life cycle project to achieve a full five stars in the Rakennustieto environmental classification. The project was implemented by construction service companies Fira and Caverion.

Pupils from Rykmentinpuisto School will ask questions from children and young people in Tuusula about municipal governance and other topics of concern during the mayor's question time on Wednesday 19 November from 9.15 to 10.15 a.m. The event is part of Tuusula Children's Rights Week.
