*** An inter-municipal season ticket valid at the swimming pools in Tuusula, Järvenpää and Kerava, as well as at the Kerava outdoor swimming pool.

A wristband fee of €8.30 will be added to the new wristband set.

The 70+ swimming wristband is for people who have turned 70 or will turn 70 during the same calendar year. The pass is personal and is only issued to residents of Tuusula. The pass can be purchased at the swimming pool ticket office using a Kela card or a pension decision. The pass entitles the holder to swim on weekdays between 6am and 4pm.

Special swimming wristband (swimming):

You can buy a special swimming wristband directly from the swimming pool ticket office:

• Disabled parking badge / disabled parking permit(opens in a new window, switch to another service)
• Visually Impaired Person’s Card(opens in a new window, switch to another service)
• EU Disability Card(opens in a new window, switch to another service).
• The Kela card bears the following logo:
  • 103, diabetes
  • 108, muscular disease
  • 109 or 303, multiple sclerosis
  • 110, Parkinson’s disease
  • 111, epilepsy and similar seizure disorders
  • 112 or 188, psychiatric conditions
  • 201, heart failure
  • 202, rheumatism
  • 203, asthma
  • 206, coronary heart disease

A medical certificate is required in the following cases:

• People with cerebral palsy (diagnosis G80), a decision on care allowance from Kela or a medical report.
• Progressive central nervous system disorders (diagnoses G10–G13), medical report.
• Disabled persons; degree of disability of at least 55% or disability category 11, medical certificate.
• A statement from the services for people with intellectual disabilities, a decision on care allowance from Kela, or a medical report.
• People with muscular disorders (diagnoses G70–G73), medical report.
• Mental health patients (diagnoses F32.2, F33.2), medical report.
• After-effects of polio, medical report.
• Cancer patients (diagnoses C-00–C96), medical report.
• Children with disabilities: medical report (e.g. ADHD, autism, epilepsy, children with heart conditions, children with cancer).
• Patients with sleep apnoea, medical report.
• Knee and hip replacements, medical report.

Family Carer Card:

Family carers in Tuusula can swim and use the swimming pool’s gym free of charge. This free access applies to family carers who have a valid family care agreement with the Central Uusimaa Welfare Region and who, under the terms of this agreement, receive a family care allowance from Keusote.

• Informal care is verified by means of a payslip or salary certificate no more than three months old; proof of identity is also required.
• The card is valid for one year at a time.

By showing their carer’s card at the swimming pool ticket office, carers can collect a one-off swimming or gym wristband from the ticket office. The card also entitles the holder to participate free of charge in leisure service exercise groups. To register for exercise groups, call 040 314 2222

Application instructions:

• If you have the Kela card mentioned above, a visual impairment card, a disabled parking permit or an EU disability card, you can obtain a special swimming wristband from the swimming pool ticket office upon presentation of your card and proof of identity.
• A medical report refers to a copy of a medical record or other document that reliably confirms the diagnosis and the severity of the condition (e.g. a report from the patient’s own records, a discharge summary, or a B or C statement).
• If you are applying for a special swimming pass with a medical certificate or a carer’s card, please come to the swimming pool office to present your certificate. If necessary, you can also book an appointment by calling 040 314 2222.
• Swimming pool office opening hours:
  • Mon 1 June, 8.00 am–4.00 pm
  • Tue 2 June, 10.00–18.00
  • Tuesdays 9, 16 and 23 June, 9.00–11.00 am
