A group of operators from the Central Uusimaa food aid network gathered in Hyvinkää in October for regional "meetings". The aim of the meeting was to network and discuss issues related to food aid – issues that affect an increasing number of residents in our region.

Tuusula General Plan 2040 enters into force

The drafting of the Tuusula Master Plan 2040 began back in 2009, and the council decided to approve the plan in November 2022. The processing of appeals in the courts took three years. Now the plan has finally become legally binding.

Work experience, or TET, has long been part of the primary school curriculum. Amanda, Matilda and Stella, who took part in the TET programme in Tuusula in the autumn, worked on participatory budgeting, among other things.

At Pertun Daycare Centre, we have been working with the children of Haltijat for quite some time on the Kaveripenkki project, and fittingly, now that it is Children's Rights Week, we have almost finished getting our project up and running.

Towards more accessible and barrier-free spaces

In recent years, Tuusula has invested in its service network, and several new properties have been built in the municipality. New buildings are subject to a wide range of accessibility regulations, starting with the access routes leading to the building.

School and nursery playgrounds encourage exercise and play

The playgrounds of Tuusula's schools and daycare centres offer wonderful opportunities for play and exercise. During the day, the playgrounds are reserved for early childhood education and schools, but in the evenings and on weekends, they are open to everyone for play and exercise.
