The council has now completed its first full year in office. In total, the council has met 11 times during its term of office, which began on 1 June 2025. Absenteeism from council meetings was quite low, as the attendance rate for full councillors during the past term was almost 94 per cent.

Tuusula Municipality has completed a market study on Tuuskoto. The municipality will begin further negotiations with interested parties in the autumn and will explore options for developing the building.

Tuusula has started to pay a municipal allowance to support employment from the beginning of June. The allowance, which is paid monthly, is available to employers who take on a jobseeker from Tuusula. The municipal subsidy amounts to €800 per month for full-time employment and €500 per month for part-time employment. The employment relationship must meet the employment condition, and the subsidy is paid for a maximum of one year.

Training activities are taking place in the Seepsula area. The training will cause noise.

Issue 2/2026 of the Tuusula municipal newsletter will be published on Tuesday 16 June and will be distributed to households in Tuusula as a public notice.

The Tuusula Municipal Executive Committee discussed the framework for the 2027 budget at its seminar on Friday 12 June in Monio. The budget is being prepared at a time when municipal finances are under cost pressures and there is uncertainty regarding economic developments.

As part of the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency’s Helsinki–Riihimäki railway project, modification work related to the construction of additional tracks will be carried out on the Purola and Nuppulinna overpasses during the summer. During the works, only one lane will be open at the bridges crossing the railway line on Vähänummentie and Nuppulinnantie, and traffic will be controlled by traffic lights.
