KVV and IV regulatory inspections of licensing projects – change to the operating model from 1 May 2026
The building control HVAC inspector will be absent from duty for an extended period. Consequently, the following procedure will be implemented for building services inspections from 1 May 2026.
The technical helpdesk will be closed on Friday 15 May 2026
The Technical Services Desk will be closed on 15 May 2026. Building control services will also be limited on that day.
Renovation of Building 10 has begun
The renovation of Building 10, located next to the Monio High School and Cultural Centre in the heart of Hyrylä, has got underway, and the contractor is beginning their work.

Changes in the state's responsibilities regarding planning and permitting matters
At the beginning of 2026, the official duties of the ELY Centres were transferred to ten regional vitality centres, the national Licensing and Supervisory Authority, and the Transport and Communications Agency Traficom. The ELY Centres ceased operations on 31 December 2025.
A topping-out ceremony was held at the Särmä business and service centre – construction will be completed on schedule in 2026
The topping-out ceremony for Särmä, a commercial and service centre rising in the centre of Hyrylä, was held on 11 December 2025. Särmä will be completed in August 2026, providing premises for the municipality of Tuusula, Prisma and smaller commercial premises.
Rykmentinpuisto School and Daycare Centre achieve top results in environmental classification
The Rykmentinpuisto school and daycare centre property, which was commissioned in the autumn, was the first life cycle project to achieve a full five stars in the Rakennustieto environmental classification. The project was implemented by construction service companies Fira and Caverion.
Building Regulations 2025 come into force
On 6 October 2025, the Tuusula Municipal Council approved new building regulations in accordance with the Building Act.
