The negotiation phase of the Lahela school, daycare centre and youth centre life cycle project has begun
The competitive negotiation process for the next target of the Tuusula service network reform, the Lahela school, daycare centre and youth centre, began on 22 August 2025. Negotiations will be held with three candidates.
Builders' meeting on 22 August in Kellokoski
The construction industry professionals' day, linked to the Tarinoiden Talot (Houses of Stories) event, will be held in Kellokoski on Friday, 22 August 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will showcase the plots available in the municipality of Tuusula and discuss current issues.

The building control department of the municipality of Tuusula is developing its operations by improving information management and operational reporting. An innovation project carried out by students at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences aims to make more efficient use of resources and to illustrate the results of the work more clearly.

The number of building permits granted rose in Tuusula
Last year, Tuusula municipal building control granted building permits and received notifications of measures for approximately 11 per cent more projects than in the previous year. Permits were granted for a total of 175 dwellings, which is more than three times the number granted in the previous year. The number of completed dwellings was significantly lower than in the previous year. However, the municipality estimates that a new upturn in residential construction is already on the horizon.
Peltokaaren daycare centre received the highest environmental rating
The Peltokaaren daycare centre in Jokela is the first facility in Finland to receive the highest five-star rating in Rakennustieto's environmental classification.

Renovation of the swimming pool will begin in April
The renovation of the Tuusula swimming pool will begin in April 2025. The renovation will continue until March 2026. With the renovation of the swimming pool, the municipality of Tuusula aims to repair all structural damage and prevent new damage from occurring. We will not be expanding the swimming pool for the time being, but will instead renovate the existing facilities and improve their usability.
