Through the park forest plan, the municipality maintains diverse, safe and pleasant forest environments in residents’ local areas as well as in outdoor and recreational areas. The aim is also to promote biodiversity and carbon sequestration by trees. Park forests are not expected to generate any financial returns. The Tuusula Municipal Council approved the park forest plan for 2026–2025 at its meeting on 13 April 2026.

Tuusula is a municipality for families with children. Last year was a boom year for births in Tuusula, with a total of 410 children born in the municipality. That figure is almost a fifth higher than the previous year. Last year, we visited the Sallinen family, who had recently welcomed a new addition. The first part of the outdoor trail built at the southern end of Lake Tuusulanjärvi will be opened to walkers today, April 2. The entire trail, named Satakielenraitti will be open in the fall after the bird nesting season ends.

The first residents’ magazine of 2026 for the municipality of Tuusula has been published and will be distributed to households in Tuusula as a public notice on 31 March 2026. The magazine includes a supplement entitled ‘Tuusula Plans and Builds’.

Between 3 and 23 November 2025, the municipality of Tuusula conducted a survey to gauge the satisfaction of Tuusula residents and the awareness of Tuusula among people living in neighbouring areas. At the same time, a business vitality survey was conducted among companies in the area. The results are now available.

Plots in the new residential area of Kellokoski Joenranta will be available for purchase from 5 January to 8 February 2026. As a rule, we sell the plots, but leasing is also possible.

Applications for detached house plots on the riverbank can be submitted between 5 January 2026 and 8 February 2026.

Winter has arrived in Tuusula once again. We would like to remind residents, businesses and housing companies to do their part in ensuring that snow is piled up and removed appropriately.

Tuusula aims to be a trendsetter in culture and a pioneer in vitality. In addition, the municipality offers its residents quality of life and a sense of community. At its meeting on 10 November 2025, the Tuusula Municipal Council approved a new municipal strategy that will guide the municipality's direction in 2026–2029. As part of the strategy, the council approved the municipality's values.
