The park forest plan is designed to maintain diverse and pleasant forest environments in areas covered by local plans

Through the park forest plan, the municipality maintains diverse, safe and pleasant forest environments in residents’ local areas as well as in outdoor and recreational areas. The aim is also to promote biodiversity and carbon sequestration by trees. Park forests are not expected to generate any financial returns. The Tuusula Municipal Council approved the park forest plan for 2026–2025 at its meeting on 13 April 2026.

The Year of the Baby in Tuusula 

Families

Tuusula is a municipality for families with children. Last year was a boom year for births in Tuusula, with a total of 410 children born in the municipality. That figure is almost a fifth higher than the previous year. Last year, we visited the Sallinen family, who had recently welcomed a new addition. Housing

Tuusula aims to be a trendsetter in culture and a pioneer in vitality. In addition, the municipality offers its residents quality of life and a sense of community. At its meeting on 10 November 2025, the Tuusula Municipal Council approved a new municipal strategy that will guide the municipality's direction in 2026–2029. As part of the strategy, the council approved the municipality's values.
